Katrina Darnbrough, Career coach & Executive Coach - Engaging Mindsets

    Katrina Darnbrough

Katrina has had a career of nearly 20 years in financial services, retail and the health sector. Her roles were predominately change and people focused through channel development, learning and development, coaching, productivity projects, and change management.

In the latter stages of her corporate life Katrina juggled a busy career, children, home renovations whilst her partner also had a busy executive career. Through this period the epiphany came that middle management and specialist roles often lack the executive coaching and support that senior executives are often offered. Katrina became determined to explore this problem and help fill that void.

Katrina is an accredited Coach, has now been a Career Coach/Executive coach since 2012, and has now successfully supported people to achieve career clarity and change across financial services, not for profit, health, fashion, elite sports. Often the start is the individual looking to re-align their role, gain a promotion, take an entirely different career path or they are frustrated about their current position. Sometimes it’s confirming you are in the right role and on the right trajectory. In coaching, Katrina focuses on people’s strength’s, is creative and pragmatic. She believes in assisting people to reframe their ways of thinking to open up the opportunity to operate at their best, authentically and wholeheartedly creating space for personal growth that delivers a step lift in performance and work satisfaction.

    Chris Bruce

Change has been a significant part of Chris’s life and he instinctively believes that if we keep doing the same things, routine takes over and we deprive ourselves of excitement, growth and adventure. A higher sensitivity to self-awareness and ones’ own capability changes everything.

Chris is an accomplished Executive Coach, this is his ninth year in full-time private practice in Melbourne, following a 35 year career in the corporate world, during which he achieved the roles of Managing Director and other Directorships; prior to this a number of General Management roles.

    Karen Tweedie

    Karen Tweddie

Karen Tweedie is located in Melbourne, Australia.  She is an executive coach with extensive experience in performance, career and transition coaching.  She has coached CEOs, MDs, Senior Executives and those aspiring to senior roles across the telecommunications, IT, banking & finance, health, mining, manufacturing and consulting industries.  Karen works with leaders to support them and to achieve their objectives by getting the most from all of the resources available to them - particularly their own people and their key stakeholders.  In this way the leader can set a team culture that authentically aligns their vision and values with that of the organisation.

Karen is a pioneer of the International Coach Federation (ICF) in Australia.  In her role as Global Board Chair of the ICF in 2009, Karen faced the challenges that confront many leaders - managing a geographically and culturally diverse team across multiple time-zones.  her focus was on building strong relationships between the elected board and the management team that served it, developing strategic relations with other key players, ensuring the right level of inclusion within the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Karen's unique approach to coaching leaders is informed by a systemic mindset, seeing the leader's role in terms of the broader organizational system.  She always customises her approach for the particular client.  With some clients she will call on Systemic Constellation principles to map the complex (and simple) human and organizational systems of which they are a prat, to reveal hidden dynamics and new resources, bring to light new perspectives and possibilities, test approaches and/or refocus efforts to reinvigorate their achievement and contribution to the organisation.

As a leader Karen navigates change with courage, a keen sense of the ridiculous and an infectious sense of humour.  As a coach she enjoys finding whether a situation requires focused, serious thought or a good belly laugh.  Karen is a coaching educator, supervisor and author: chapter on Issues of Gender in Coaching (Handbook of Knowledge-Based Coaching, Jossey-Bass 2011; committee member of Australian Standards Organization's Handbook of Coaching in Organisations (HB 322 - 2011)

Selina Ryan, Leadership development: Executive and business coaching - Equilibrio - Coaching Company

    Selina Ryan

For some people, the term ‘executive or business coach’ can be confusing.

This is ironic, because a highly qualified coach like Selina Ryan helps all of her clients cut through their confusion and become more focused, more effective and much clearer about their goals. Then, Selina works with you to see that those goals are achieved to a timetable developed with you.

With a Masters in Organisational Coaching and training in Neurosemantics, Selina is an expert communicator, highly diplomatic and aware of the internal dynamics of businesses from SMEs to large corporates. Her ability to hold strong and robust conversations enables her clients to unlock practical solutions, gain real insights and and bring their full potential into action. The business leaders who engage Selina come to regard her as their partner on a journey to much greater and more meaningful achievements.

Twenty years in coaching, communications, media and marketing in Australia and the UK have taught Selina many valuable lessons about how to build leadership skills.

“Coaching people for leadership and building dynamic teams has been at the core of my career. What I truly love about this job is seeing my clients coming away with a real sense of their own strength. A look in their eye that shows that everything is switched on and whatever has been holding them back or frustrating them is a thing of the past.

”While Selina will challenge you, pushing you out of your comfort zone, she will also make you laugh and leave you feeling much more capable, assured and fluent in your decision-making. A more demanding role will feel like a natural transition that you can handle with ease.

“A number of my clients come to me when they have been given a major promotion. They have what it takes but are feeling the pressure and start to second guess themselves. Coaching clears away all of that. I also make sure that the other aspects of balance - health, exercise - are there to support success in business.”

    Oscar Trimboli

My Marketing Academy journey is a story of two paths that merged.
Path one started in October 2009 in Sydney, when I mentored Arron Child on a journey to change the marketing world. Through mentoring Arron, he decided to move to London and he was selected to be a Marketing Academy Scholar in 2013.
Since then Arron has gone from Marketing Manager at Microsoft to running his own amazing marketing agency Conjura.
Path two, starts with me as part of a graduate recruitment team at Microsoft in August 2009. After a 4 hours standing with over 400 undergraduate students looking at career options, it was impossible to have a quality career discussion.
I thought there has to be a better way and I created Microsoft Protégé.
An experiential learning environment for Generation Y to gain insights and skills while working on a real world project. Over 6 months, Protégé transformed the next generation of marketing talent to explore a career in technology.
Today, Protégé is in its 5th year and Protégé graduates run Protégé for the following year. As a result, they learn how to do their day jobs and they learn what it takes to be the trans-disciplinary leaders of the future.
So in 2013, when I spoke to Arron Child, he urged me to help to bring The Marketing Academy to Australia. Thanks to Sherilyn’s vision and passion it’s now a reality.
The two paths are now one.
For the last 30 years, I’ve been a leader in sales, marketing and operational roles in professional services, technology and telecommunications organisations.
I’ve coached, mentored and spoken about how to get to their results faster utilising clarity to create change.
